Documents Tabled in the National Assembly: Descriptive List and Index
Documents tabled in the National Assembly constitute a diverse and significant source of information, and are a testament to the vitality of Québec's democratic process. Documents are tabled during Routine Proceedings of the House in the manner prescribed by the Standing Orders of the National Assembly. The tabling of some documents, mainly concerned with government administration, is prescribed by law. Annual reports and financial statements from government departments and public bodies fall into this category, as do various directives, proclamations and agreements regarding the management of those public entities. Other documents also tabled are MNA mission reports, abstracts of petitions addressed to the House, decisions by the Office of the National Assembly, reports from the Law Clerk, answers to written questions from parliamentarians and reports from standing committees, as well as lists, Orders in Council, studies, and letters received in connection with political news or the parliamentary process.
