CONSIDERING THAT it is essential that Champlain–St. Lawrence College possess all the necessary tools needed to further develop itself, its strengths and its ties to the regional community and better fulfill its mission;

CONSIDERING THAT this is a matter of proximity, governance, and economic efficiency;
 
We request that the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Science make Champlain–St. Lawrence College an independent institution.
