Information on the activity

Meeting place

  • Please go to the reception pavilion’s main entrance 30 minutes before your activity (see the detailed schedule of activities).

Please note:

  • You must reserve your tour ahead of time, either in person (on arrival) or online.
  • To accommodate parliamentary proceedings and official events, the tour is subject to change without notice.
  • Depending on the number of visitors, you may have to wait in line to go through security and/or to register

Parliamentary Sitting or Question Period

To attend parliamentary sittings or Question Period at the Assemblée nationale du Québec, you must make a reservation.

Décorum

What to wear

Visitors attending parliamentary proceedings must be dressed modestly, neatly and tastefully.

The following are not allowed:

  • garments with a slogan or image that is in bad taste or conveys a partisan message
  • tank tops;
  • caps and hats, except if worn for religious or health reasons.

Coat Check and Drop-Off Point

The coat check is free and required. As soon as visitors enter the reception pavilion, they must check

  • coats and large bags;
  • food and drinks.

Silence

Parliamentary sittings

During parliamentary sittings, visitors must remain silent and refrain from expressing approval or disapproval.

Committee meetings

The committees usually meet at the hôtel du Parlement and in the reception pavilion, but they sometimes travel to other locations in the province.

The schedule for parliamentary sittings and National Assembly committee meetings is subject to change without notice, so please make sure, on the morning of the day of your visit, that the sitting or meeting you wish to attend will still be taking place by checking the Parliamentary Calendar or calling one of the following numbers:
