On a motion caried by the National Assembly on March 31, 2021, a select committee was created to examine the issues related to extending medical aid in dying to persons who are incapable of caring for themselves and those who are suffering from mental illness.
The report of the Select Committee on the Evolution of the Act respecting end-of-life care was tabled December 8, 2021.
