Much of the work of the National Assembly is done by parliamentary committees. A committee is a work group composed of a set number of MNAs who, in the name of the National Assembly, examine issues that fall within the committee’s area of competence.
The Journal des débats (Hansard) contains the word-for-word transcription of the remarks, statements and speeches of the Members and other speakers in committee. To search for a bill or an MNA or do a keyword search in the Journal des débats, use the Journal des débats Index.
No parliamentary committee is holding public consultations at this time.
This section contains parliamentary committee reports (which include observations, conclusions and recommendations) and discussion papers.
