On April 8, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., the Lieutenant-Governor prorogued the Assemblée nationale, summoning it to meet on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 2 p.m.. The prorogation ended the 2^nd Session of the 43^rd Legislature.
