Fondation des parlementaires québécois Cultures à partager

The Fondation des parlementaires québécois — Cultures à partager, created in 1997 by former Member for Chicoutimi Jeanne L. Blackburn, is an organization for international cooperation mandated to promote education, learning to read, environmental protection and culture sharing among French-speaking nations.

More specifically, the Fondation fosters access to knowledge, progress and democracy through books and reading, promoting literacy as a vehicle for sustainable development and helping to build the bases of knowledge and awareness to which all people are entitled.

To date, the Fondation has donated almost 1.5 million books to encourage access to reading and promote the French language the world over.
