The Essentials

Due to renovations, the Library will be closed to visitors from March 4, 2023.

Located in the heart of the city of Québec, just steps away from Vieux-Québec, the Assemblée nationale invites you to take a self-guided tour. With a hard copy of the Visitor’s Guide, you can create your own itinerary. At your own pace, you can explore the national historic site, including the hôtel du Parlement’s reception pavilion, the hôtel du Parlement and the Library. The Assemblée nationale is one of the city of Québec’s top tourist attractions!

Required: Photo ID with date of birth for people 16 or older;

Reservation required: Online or on site.

Please go to the reception pavilion’s main entrance. A map showing the location of the main entrance can be found in the Useful Information section.

A hard copy of the Visitor’s Guide is available to facilitate your tour. If you would like a copy of this guide, please ask for one when you register and return it at the end of your tour.

Please note:

The duration of the self-guided tour varies according to your interests and schedule. If you follow the route proposed in the hard copy of the Visitor’s Guide, the tour can last from 45 to 90 minutes.

* Depending on the number of visitors, you may have to wait in line to go through security and/or to register.
