The Medal of Honour of the National Assembly is awarded to public figures who are deserving of recognition by the Members of the Assembly.
The President, or Speaker, of the Assembly or the President’s representative awards the medal in a ceremony that is occasionally held outside the precinct of the Parliament Building.
