International Parliamentary Training Program
The International Parliamentary Training Program (PIFP) is intended specifically for public servants working in French-speaking parliaments and is made possible through collaboration between Université Laval's Research Chair on Democracy and Parliamentary Institutions and the Assemblée nationale du Québec, with the support of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF).
The PIFP website provides information on the content of the training and the application procedure.

On August 27, 2026, the Lieutenant-Governor dissolved the Assemblée nationale. The call for an election ended the 43rd Legislature.
When a legislature is dissolved, MNAs, whose terms coincide with the duration of the legislature, cease to hold office. The President and Vice-presidents stay in office until they are replaced or reappointed by the new Assemblée.
