A brief history
In 2015, the National Assembly and the Louisiana State Legislature, which comprises the Louisiana State Senate and Louisiana House of Representatives, signed a bilateral relations agreement (PDF, 133 KB) (memorandum of understanding) creating the Louisiana-Québec Cooperation Conference (LQCC).
The LQCC allows elected officials from Québec and Louisiana to discuss subjects of mutual interest such as cultural affairs, education, health, environment, energy and economic development.
