Parliament of the Republic and Canton of Jura
The Assemblée nationale du Québec and the Parliament of the Republic and Canton of Jura formalized their relationship through the signing of an agreement (in French only), on April 16, 2025, establishing the Jura-Québec Parliamentary Association (APJQ).
The APJQ is a bilateral forum that allows Québec and Jura parliamentarians to discuss the functioning of parliamentary institutions, share knowledge and expertise on various topics such as economy and culture, and ensure the promotion of the French language.

On August 27, 2026, the Lieutenant-Governor dissolved the Assemblée nationale. The call for an election ended the 43rd Legislature.
When a legislature is dissolved, MNAs, whose terms coincide with the duration of the legislature, cease to hold office. The President and Vice-presidents stay in office until they are replaced or reappointed by the new Assemblée.
