On August 23, 2018, at 10:25 a.m., the Lieutenant-Governor dissolved the National Assembly, calling the next Assembly to meet on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. The call for an election ended the 41st Legislature.

Under the Standing Orders of the Assembly, petitions die when the Assembly is dissolved. Those listed as "presented but unanswered at dissolution", however, may still be viewed online.

The following is a list of the petitions tabled in the National Assembly since September 2009.

The time limits between the presentation of a petition to the Assembly and the tabling of the answer from the Government are set forth in the Standing Orders of the National Assembly. The Standing Orders also indicate that the time limits shall not run during certain periods of the year (extended hours of meeting, weeks allotted for work in the electoral division, examination of the estimates of expenditure, adjournment for more than fifteen days).
